Southern NH & Northern MA · Same-day
Furniture and appliance removal
One couch or a whole bedroom set. A dead fridge in the basement or a water heater that finally quit. We carry it out, protect the walls on the way, and haul it off, usually the same day you call.
Furniture and appliance pickups are the quickest jobs we do, and the ones people most often think are too small to call about. They aren't. A single sectional, a mattress and box spring, or an old refrigerator is a normal job for us, and because we're always moving around Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, a single item can usually be picked up the same day or the next.
We do the carrying. Third-floor walkups, tight condo hallways, basement stairs, and stackable washer-dryers wedged into a closet are the kind of thing we deal with every week. We bring straps, dollies, and blankets, protect door frames and floors, and take things apart when that's the only way they'll fit through the door.
Usable furniture goes to donation when we can place it. Appliances are stripped for scrap metal and recycled. Mattresses and anything too worn to pass on are disposed of properly.

Pricing
What changes the price.
You pay for the space your items take up in the truck. Labor, loading, hauling, and disposal are in the one number we quote before we start. Three things move it:
- How many items, and how much of the truck they fill
- Carrying distance and stairs, especially for heavy appliances
- Items that need to be taken apart to get out

I needed to have our old washer and dryer stackable unit removed, it was in a tough spot in a narrow hallway. They were able to get it out without damaging any of my walls or flooring! … extremely well priced, efficient, and on time.
I needed to have a refrigerator and grill taken away. I figured too small a job but contacted anyway. I received an immediate response and fair quote for the work. They came the next morning on time and completed the job quickly.
Booked a time that was convenient and they came and removed some old appliances and other various items and hauled them away. They did all the work and the price was very reasonable.
Questions
Straight answers.
Can Rocky's remove a single piece of furniture or one appliance?
Yes. A single couch, mattress, refrigerator, or washer is a normal job for us. Because we're moving around Southern NH and Northern MA all day, single items are usually picked up the same day or the next.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?
Unplugging a refrigerator or washer is enough. For a water heater, a gas stove, or a dryer with a gas line, have a plumber or the gas company disconnect it before we arrive. We handle the rest, including the water left in the lines.
Can you get a couch out of a third-floor apartment?
Yes. Walkups, tight stairwells, and narrow doorways are normal for us. We bring straps and blankets, protect the walls, and take the piece apart if that's the only way it fits.
What happens to the furniture you take?
Furniture in good shape is donated when we can place it. Appliances are recycled for scrap metal. Mattresses and anything too worn to reuse are disposed of properly.
Do you take mattresses?
Yes. Mattresses and box springs are one of the most common things we pick up. Note that some towns in Massachusetts have mattress-disposal rules for curbside trash; we handle disposal, so that's not your problem.
