What we take: furniture, appliances and more
If two guys can lift it, it's gone.
No matter what you're clearing out, we're ready to help. Household, commercial, landlords, realtors, contractors.
Don't see it? We take just about anything, as long as it's non-hazardous and can be lifted by our two-person team. Text us a photo and we'll tell you.
Category by category
What goes on the truck.
Every item below is loaded, hauled, and disposed of or donated by our crew. The price covers all of it; there's nothing to carry to the curb.
Furniture
Couches, sectionals, recliners, mattresses and box springs, bed frames, dressers, tables, desks, bookcases, and patio sets. Pieces in good shape go to donation. Furniture and appliance removal.
Appliances
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, water heaters, dehumidifiers, and window air conditioners. Metal and refrigerant go to recyclers.
TVs and electronics
Old tube and flat-screen TVs, monitors, computers, printers, stereos, and the box of cables under them. Everything goes to an e-waste recycler, not the landfill.
Household junk
Boxes, bags, bikes, toys, rugs, lamps, exercise equipment, grills, holiday decorations, and the contents of a closet nobody has opened in years. After the holidays, Christmas trees, real or artificial.
Renovation debris
Drywall, cabinets, countertops, flooring, carpet, tile, lumber, doors, windows, fixtures, and the pile a contractor leaves behind. Construction debris removal.
Garages, basements, and attics
Full cleanouts, top to bottom, including the shelving, the workbench, and the old paint cans we can't take but will point you to the right drop-off for. Swept when we leave. Garage cleanouts.
Estate and whole-house cleanouts
Entire homes cleared room by room, with keepsakes set aside for the family and usable items donated. We work with executors, families, and real estate agents. Estate cleanouts.
Demolition
Sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, above-ground pools, playsets, and interior tear-outs, taken down and hauled on the same visit. No buildings or structural work. Shed and deck demolition.

What does Rocky's Junk Removal take?
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, TVs and electronics, household junk, renovation debris, garage and basement cleanouts, estate cleanouts, and demolition of sheds, decks, fences, hot tubs, and above-ground pools. If it's non-hazardous and two people can carry it, it goes on the truck.
What can't you take?
Hazardous materials: paint, stains, solvents, chemicals, pesticides, asbestos, propane tanks, gasoline or oil loose in cans, and medical or biohazard waste. We never take heating oil tanks either. Your town's household hazardous waste collection day handles those: Salem holds its own, and Windham, Pelham and Hudson use the Nashua region's collections. A mower or snow blower with gas still in it is fine.
Do you take mattresses and box springs?
Yes, any size, any condition. Mattresses can't be donated or recycled in our area, so they go to a licensed transfer station. They're priced as single items unless they're part of a bigger load.
Do you take refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners?
Yes. Appliances with refrigerant go to a recycler that recovers it properly. We carry them out from wherever they are, including basements, and you don't need to disconnect anything beyond unplugging.
Will you come for just one item?
Yes. A single couch, mattress, or appliance is a normal call for us, and it's often same-day. Single items start at $35 for small pieces, and bigger ones cost more. Text us a photo for an exact price.
Do you take hot tubs?
Yes. We cut them up on site and haul the pieces, and we can take the deck or pad underneath on the same visit. The owner handles the electrician disconnect and draining first.
Can you take things from inside the house, upstairs, or the basement?
Yes. The price includes the labor to carry items out from wherever they sit, including third-floor walk-ups and basement bulkheads. You don't have to move anything to the curb.
Do you take commercial and office junk?
Yes. Desks, cubicles, chairs, filing cabinets, old electronics, and storage-unit contents. We work with business owners, realtors, and contractors across Southern NH and Northern MA.
Do you take TVs, computers and electronics?
Yes. Old TVs, monitors, computers and printers go to electronics recycling, not the landfill. That matters in New Hampshire, where state law (RSA 149-M:27) bans electronics from landfills and incinerators, and towns like Salem want a separate coupon for every TV. We take them from anywhere in the house, no coupons needed.
Do you take lawn mowers, snow blowers and generators?
Yes, running or not, gas and all. Ride-on mowers and lawn tractors too. If you can run the tank dry first, great. If not, we drain it for you as part of the job, and that's in the quote before we start. Small engine equipment is mostly metal, so it goes to the recycler.
Do you take old furnaces and boilers?
Yes, once the unit is out of the house. Your heating contractor usually brings the old furnace or boiler outside during the swap, and we haul it away and recycle the metal, gas, electric or oil-fired. We never take oil tanks: your oil company or a licensed tank removal contractor handles those.
Do you take tires?
Yes. Car and truck tires, on the rim or off, and big equipment tires too. Tires are priced by size, so tell us how many and what kind when you call or text 603-500-5865.
